A very short excerpt from Restaurateur in the Alliance Empire

Updated: Aug 13, 2022

When Jade finished with the old Alliance deities, she looked up at the newly installed statue of Jane. Captain Kara had been sure to make Jane Johnson, her best friend, a religious icon. The statue of Jane looked similar to how she had looked in life, shoulder-length hair, and athletic build. “Jane, I don’t know if you can hear me or where you are, but I hope that you are okay in the Alliance Afterlife, if you are really there? I don’t know why Kara did this to you?” Jade said and then surprised herself by actually having more to say to Jane, “I guess Kara just missed you so much. I don’t know what you did to deserve death by the Admiral’s hand, but I assume it was bad. I must admit we all miss you. Mara isn’t fit to be Head of House Human. I know you thought it was overwhelming for you to have that role, but she really can’t do it, and now she is being counseled by Nik from House Zu at Kara’s request. If you’re truly a goddess now, then you know exactly what that means, and, in the end, it might be worse than anything you ever did to us in life, even if the rumors of the babies in artificial wombs are true. I don’t know why I’m talking to your statue. I don’t even have a candle for you.” Jade stopped speaking and left abruptly. The shrine had begun to take on an eerie feeling as she spoke to Jane’s statue and she felt the strong urge to leave. Jade took a minute in the hallway outside the shrine to take a deep breath of non-religious fresh air.

A Love Diamond.

Jade has just opened the first human restaurant in the illustrious Alliance Empire. Everything in her new life is falling into place, everything except her love life. Unfortunately, Jade’s true love is a slave and according to Imperial Law, they can never marry. However, Jade is not one to give up easily and she decides that she will do anything to have her man, even if that means invoking an ancient loophole law that allows her to marry a slave if she marries two other men as well. Can she convince three men of different Alliance classes to marry her? Is she strong enough to balance the demands of all her husbands?
